reduction surgery?

The breast size of the people who will have breast augmentation surgery is smaller than their body. Small breasts can be caused by congenital or post-pregnancy volume loss. In addition, in case of asymmetry between the two breasts, breast augmentation surgery is also performed. With breast augmentation surgery, the two breast tissues are made more similar to each other. Unless there is a medical necessity, breast augmentation surgeries should be applied to those over the age of 18. Breast augmentation surgery is not suitable for those under the age of 18, as the developmental age continues. It is not the right time for surgery for candidates who plan to become mothers shortly after the surgery. It is recommended that breast augmentation surgery be postponed until after pregnancy for women who are planning a pregnancy in the near future, who continue to breastfeed, and who gain and lose weight frequently.

After surgery (after waking up from anesthesia) there is usually not much pain. There may be a feeling of tension. Enlargement in the breasts is immediately visible and felt. A special dressing is made to provide the necessary pressure on the chest. In addition, a drain can be placed to eliminate leaks that may occur at the place where the prosthesis is placed. If a drain is placed, these drains are removed after a few days break after the surgery. Personally, I do not prefer to use drains only in patients with breast prosthesis. Initially, it is expected to experience numbness or, on the contrary, extreme sensitivity in the breasts. Patients can start fluid intake 6 hours after surgery. In operations performed in the morning, the patient can be discharged on the same day. Patients usually return home the day after the surgery. You should sleep on your back for the first week. It is helpful to limit side turns. The patient is allowed to take a shower 2 days after the operation. In this period, the first dressing of the patient is done. On the 2nd day after the operation, the dressing is opened and the patient is dressed in a sports bra. This bra should be worn day and night for 3 weeks. The first 4 days after the operation is the period when complications are most intense. During this period, edema, tension and possible color changes are seen and it is recommended to spend this time resting. These complications begin to decrease and pass at the end of a week. A few days after the operation, the person can drive and return to social and business life. After the 8th week, patients can also return to sports such as fitness, tennis, swimming. As the edema recedes over time, the shape of the breast gradually improves and becomes natural. It may take 4 or 6 months for the breast to take its full shape, or it may take up to 1 year. There is no problem with breastfeeding after breast augmentation surgery. Since breast tissue is not removed during breast augmentation surgery, there is no risk of damage to the milk ducts. Therefore, after breast augmentation surgery, women can breastfeed their babies without any problems.
